Hi, my name is Yamile Yemoonyah and I am the founder of Creative Web Biz.
I was born in Colombia, to my indigenous birth mother (of the Embera people) and my African-Colombian birth-father. When I was one and a half years old, I was adopted by my parents who are both from the Netherlands and who brought me to Germany where I grew up.
After attending four colleges in three different countries, I decided that the traditional school system was not my path and dropped out to become a full time artist (which was pretty much the best decision ever, although at the time I was scared as hell that I would end up poor and homeless)
Right from the start I decided to sell my art online instead of selling in galleries. Over the years I learned all about WordPress, online marketing, social media, SEO and everything else you need to know to run a profitable creative online business.
In the meantime I saw lots of my friends suffer in 9-5 jobs that they hated because they just didn’t know how to make a living with doing what they love. So in 2010 I decided to set up the Creative Web Biz site to help free minded creative spirits around the world start and grow their own online business.
Then, in May 2011 I gave away all my possessions and became a location independent digital nomad traveling the world with my laptop in tow so I can work from on the road..
